Allometry‐Based Field, Laboratory, and Desktop Exercises for Marine Ecology Students

Developing meaningful in-course exercises for university-level marine ecology students can be challenging due to the constraints imposed by time, logistics, and/or safety. Here, I describe three that exploit explanatory power of body size provide context field-, laboratory-, and desktop-based projects done at varying stages their university education. The collectively help develop a range research skills including data acquisition, analysis, interpretation, communication.
